Open Position

I had an employee meeting at my job today. We talked about new opportunities within the organization. The Assistant Manager posistion is open and I am thinking of applying for it.

I was told that the interview will be conducted by an outside consultant. I have the qualifications and the experience required for the position, but, I am concerned about the interview. I hope that I will be the person chosen so that I will have the opportunity to hire everybody in my class including my teacher.

Thanks

  1. I was very anxious about my phlebotomy's practice this morning. My classmate and I went to a Doctor's office and he gave us some needles, tubes, specimens and many other instruments. He had patient in his practice who was waiting for blood to be drawn from him. The Doctor took us to the patient and guided me on how to draw the blood.
I looked for the vein and sticked the niddle into it and drew the blood slowly. Even though my patient had a fear of niddles, I made him feel very comfortable.

It was very exciting to draw my first blood and now, I am looking forward to draw more blood especially from the NCC teachers.

    Thanks

  2. I had blood taken from my doctor the other day. I get very nervous when anyone other than my doctor takes blood from me because he is the only one who can find my vein the first time he tries. If a nurse in his clinic tries they always have to poke around several times and I feel myslef about to pass out! I'm glad you enjoy drawing blood but I don't think I'm going to allow you to get near me with a needle, Cassandra!

  3. I can understand your concerns. Until recently, I had panick attacks when my blood is about to be drawn. I think I had panick attacks due to my fear that I could faint from my blood being drawn.

My knowledge of phlebotomy has helped me to understand that my fears were perceptions. Shakespear said "it is the eye of a child that fears a paited devil". I am no longer afriad of my blood being drawn.

    All hail phlebotomy!

  4. After I watched a nice movie last thursday about handicapped people, I finally understood that there is a huge difference between handicapped and disabled bodied. It is pretty obvious that handicapped people are just those that have a physical or mental disability making participation in certain of the usual activities of daily living more difficult.
It dose not mean that handicapped people can not achieve their gaols or overcome their obstacles. However, they are able to become whatever they want in life. It happens most of the time handicapped people are more optimistic than abled bodied because when they want something they go for it.

  5. A few days ago Chile experienced earthquake measuring 8.8 on the Richter Scale. The magnitude of the earthquake was more severe than that of Haiti. As of today, Chile has fewer fatalities than Haiti. I could not understand the reason for the difference in fatalities. After listening to CNN, I discovered that some of the reasons are as follows:
    1. Poor building codes
    2. Poor structural integrity
    3. The location of the buildings
    4. The time of occurance
    5. Goverment first responders capabilities

Please pray for the people of Chile.

  6. I have been watching the healthcare debate for the past couple of months. Both the Republicans and Democrats beleive that the healthcare system in America is broken. And for over thirty years past Presidents have tried and failed to bring about the required changes to the healthcare system.
From my view point, it seems that the insurance companies are very powerful and will do anything to block any change that they persive will have impact to their bottomline.
So who speaks for "Joe the plumber"? I beleive that the fight is between David and the Goliath.
    My God bless America

  7. The devastating earthquake that hit Haiti last month may have caused billions of dollars more in damage than initially estimated, according to a study released Tuesday by the Inter-American Development Bank.

The study, based on a statistical analysis of data from 2,000 natural disasters over 40 years, estimates that the cost could be $7.2 billion to $13.2 billion, based on a death toll of 200,000 to 250,000; earlier estimates had hovered around $5 billion.
Haiti is already a poor country. Were is the money coming from? The total donations to Haiti does not amount to $1 billion. Could Haiti get a loan from the World Bank? And if she did, how does she pay back?

It is obvious that there are more questions than answers.

    May God bless Haiti.

  8. Today, after a hard day's work,I went home to relax myself. My usual routine after my dinner is that I watch CNN news to keep abreast with what is going on aroung the world.
As I sat down to watch the new, there was a news flash "A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey early Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of injuries, deaths or damage. The earthquake's epicenter was in eastern Turkey, 45 kilometers (28 miles) west of the town of Bingol, and 625 kilometers (388 miles) east of Ankara, the country's capital. The earthquake struck at 4:32 a.m. at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), the USGS said"

We had earthquakes in Haiti, Chile and Turkey in less than ninety days. Who is next?

  9. This morning, I read that there was mass killings of women and childern in Jos. Jos is city in the middle belt of Nigeria. It is a border city that lies between the Muslim north and the Christian south. Jos has about fifty percent Muslims and fifty percent Christians.
My understanding is that the Muslims beleive that it is their God giving right to convert the Christians by any means neccessary and anyone who refuses to be converted should be killed.
In the middle of the night the Muslims went to the christian neighborhood and slaughted over four hundred women and children to make a point.
Sometimes, man's inhumanity to man can not be explained.

    May God save us.
